The HP OfficeJet 4650 is a reliable all-in-one printer, but users may encounter issues where the printer fails to print in black ink. This issue can be frustrating, especially when you're in a hurry to get a document printed. In this guide, we will explore the common causes of the HP OfficeJet 4650 not printing black and provide solutions to help you resolve the issue.
1. Check the Ink Levels
One of the most common reasons for your HP OfficeJet 4650 not printing black is low or empty ink cartridges. To check the ink levels:
Navigate to the printer’s control panel and select "Ink Levels" to see if the black ink cartridge is empty or running low.
If the black cartridge is empty or nearly empty, replace it with a new HP cartridge. Make sure to use genuine HP cartridges, as third-party cartridges may not be compatible or may cause additional issues.
