We are delighted to welcome Dr. Lucy Moore as the new Chair of Trustees for Long Covid SOS. With over 25 years of senior leadership experience across the charitable sector and the NHS, Lucy brings a wealth of expertise in strategic leadership, organisational development, finance, and advocacy.

A qualified medical doctor specialising in population health, Lucy has held leadership roles at Deloitte, worked as an independent strategy consultant, and served as an NHS Trust CEO. Most recently, she was the Executive Chair of the British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS), where she played a pivotal role in strengthening governance and driving positive change.

Passionate about health equity and patient advocacy, Lucy is deeply committed to raising awareness of Long Covid and ensuring that people living with the condition have a voice at the highest levels. Her expertise in policy, strategy, and securing vital resources will be instrumental as we continue to fight for recognition, research, and support for the Long Covid community.

Speaking today, Lucy said:

“I am both excited and privileged to take on the role of Chair of Long Covid SOS. My son has been affected since November 2023, and I have witnessed firsthand how devastating and challenging Long Covid can be. I am passionate about ensuring that those affected receive the best information and support, and that there is continued focus on understanding, preventing, treating, and supporting those impacted by this condition.”

We are excited to have Lucy leading our Board of Trustees at this crucial time. Her leadership will help us build on our successes and drive meaningful change for those affected by Long Covid.

Welcome, Lucy!
